Baltimore, MD – A 23-year-old woman and an 18-month-old child were taken to a hospital after high levels of carbon monoxide were detected in their west Baltimore home Monday.

Baltimore City fire officials said the woman went into full cardiac arrest, while the child experienced difficulty in breathing.

Officials said that although high levels of CO were detected, they could not confirm if the woman had suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Crews at the scene ventilated the home, which was on the 600 block of North Carrollton Avenue.
